The Unbounce community was an untapped growth resource
When I joined Unbounce, my first observation was that their community forum was an absolute powerhouse for the organization. I told my boss that we need to take the Community out of the Support department, and turn it into a tool to nurture every stage of the funnel.
The existing community was primarily used as a support resource, but there was so much untapped opportunity. The sheer amount of UGC being created on the platform was mind boggling, and really impactful for SEO.
I got the greenlight to hire a dedicated community manager, and start the rebuild of the Unbounce community from the ground up. I hired Amanda Martin, a seasoned community manager, and together we brought on the pioneer of the Salesforce community, Erika Kuhl to consult on a transition from Discourse to Gainsight.
All the while configuring a new strategy to turn the Unbounce community into the well oiled machine it is today.
